I still have three teams I like left in the playoffs: the Cardinals, the Astros, and WHOEVER IS PLAYING THE YANKEES! I came in to the office early today to wrap up some things for tomorrow so that I can be home for the game. Growing up in SW MO as a son of University of Texas graduates, I had two big college football games that dominated our home every year: Texas vs. Arkansas and Texas vs. Oklahoma. The last few years the latter match-up hasn't gone so well. I don't have high hopes for today, but who knows? Give Cedric the ball!! Someday I'd like to meet the guy that convinced Oklahoma that a nice neutral spot for the Texas/Oklahoma game would be Dallas.

  • Hmmmm - Astros and Cardinals - you're in quite a conflict there, aren't you! ;)

I throughly agree with anyone against the Yankees!!! And may it be the Red Sox, this year, to eliminate the Yankees - which leaves my 'druthers' World Series match-up:

    !!!!RED XOX vs ASTROS!!!!

Then MY conflict is between wanting the Texas team to take the Series [now that San Diego is out of it :( ], and hoping Boston can finally break The Babe Jinx.

Guess I'd settle for a Boston/New York playoff as a mini-Series, if only Boston would trounce the Yankees, please, please, please!! :>)

btw-when you say "THE GAME" my baseball tunnel vision assumed you were talking about the Astors/Braves game. Forgive me. I'm still not totally culturalized to Texas in general, and local football in particular. LOL

  • Adrian Peterson is my new hero!

I hope they give Cedric the ball, too...because we know OU can stop him, and if HE has it, it means Vince Young is up there throwing picks and incompletions all day!

Good luck though...it should be a decent game. I have Oklahoma by two touchdowns.

  • My two favorite teams - the Giants and A's folded like Tacos the last weekend. But hey, I always have the Niners! Oh, I mean the Raiders. Uhh, I mean the Warriors! Crud.

    Go Wildcats!

About the game ... I predict a 0 - 0 tie about 7:33 into the game. I predict there will be great D, some turnovers and some Verizon and Cingular comercials. I predict that I'm eating peanuts and drinking diet cherry coke. I predict that I'll blog while watching the game.

    Man, I'm good.

  • Hey! Where's the love??? Go Yankees! Go Yankees! Go Yankees!

I really don't do that dance any better than the old guy in the KFC commercials.

  • Too bad the Sooners and Horns play in a second tier league......maybe one day they will get the opportunity to play with the big boys in the SEC. :)

Reckon how good the fired coach at Nebraska is looking to all the fickle Cornhusker fans now?!?!? Bring back Tom Osborne.
